1. What This Website Is

Upton County Criminal History is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not possess official records, perform official checks, retrieve documents, or submit filings for a user.

The material directs readers to custodians including the Upton County Sheriff's Office, the combined District/County Clerk, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs public-information requests to governmental bodies, while Government Code Chapter 411 controls access to and dissemination of criminal-history record information held by DPS. Neither law turns this site into an official custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

• Use automated scrapers, robots, or similar tools against the pages
• Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
• Violate a federal, Texas, or local law through use of the site
• Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or restricted area
• Interfere with service or prevent others from accessing the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked service to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or discriminate against another person. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 authorizes public registry information for safety and awareness. It does not authorize vigilante conduct, and threats, stalking, trespass, assault, harassment, or discriminatory misuse may violate other civil or criminal laws.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for assessing applicants, insurance risk, credit, or rental applications. Data found here or through a linked tool must not be used to:

• Set an insurance premium or assess creditworthiness
• Make an employment or termination decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Decide eligibility for a government program, permit, or license
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

A check required for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or the official process designated for that purpose, not from this site.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how an Upton County charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to one person's facts. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney for that analysis.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms, including the Texas Public Information Act in Government Code Chapter 552 for official public-information requests and Government Code Chapter 411 for DPS criminal-history dissemination where those laws are relevant. Any dispute arising from use of this site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These conditions may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice and for any reason.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, every remaining provision continues in effect. The affected language will be limited or modified only as necessary to make it enforceable.
